Terms of Service

§ 1 Scope

These Terms of Service apply to the use of the Pingtopong platform, operated by Tobias Buchholz (hereinafter "Operator"). By registering or using the platform, you accept these Terms of Service in their current version.

§ 2 Service Description

Pingtopong is an online platform for coordinating table tennis activities. The platform enables:

  • Finding and adding table tennis venues
  • Real-time display of table availability
  • Planning and managing matches with other players
  • Communication between users via match invitations and notifications

The platform is operated without any guarantee of the availability of third-party venues or the accuracy of user-generated information.

§ 3 Registration and User Account

Registration is required to fully use the platform. You agree to provide only truthful information during registration.

You are solely responsible for the security of your login credentials. If you suspect unauthorized use of your account, please contact us immediately. Sharing login credentials with third parties is not permitted.

§ 4 User Obligations

When using the platform, you are obliged to:

  • Post only accurate and up-to-date information
  • Not publish illegal, offensive, or discriminatory content
  • Respect the rights of third parties (in particular copyright when uploading images)
  • Not perform automated access (bots, scrapers) to the platform
  • Treat other users respectfully

In the event of violations, the Operator reserves the right to suspend or delete the relevant account.

§ 5 Content and Usage Rights

You retain the copyright to all content (e.g. images) that you post on the platform. By uploading, you grant the Operator a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free right to use, display, and store this content in connection with platform operations. This right ends upon deletion of the respective content or your account.

§ 6 Limitation of Liability

The Operator is not liable for:

  • The actual availability or condition of third-party table tennis venues
  • The accuracy and completeness of user-generated content (tables, match details)
  • Damages arising from the use or non-use of the platform, unless gross negligence or intent is involved
  • Temporary unavailability of the platform due to maintenance or technical issues

§ 7 Changes to the Terms

The Operator reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time with effect for the future. Registered users will be informed of material changes at least 14 days before they take effect by email or in-app notification. If you do not object to the changes within this period, the new Terms are considered accepted.

§ 8 Final Provisions

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies. The place of performance and jurisdiction is, to the extent permitted by law, the registered seat of the Operator. Should individual provisions of these Terms be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall not be affected.
